ELLISVILLE \u2013During finals week, the Student Government Association at Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ created a stress-free zone and let students play with puppies.\u00a0 About a dozen rescue puppies were loved on and petted while the stress of studying for finals vanished.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis helps calm me down. It relaxes me. This is one of the things I\u2019ll miss most when I graduate,\u201d said Erin Walters, a sophomore from Laurel majoring in dental hygiene.<\/p>\n
College Algebra is Desiree\u2019 Moran\u2019s biggest stressor. The George County \u201cI just love animals! That\u2019s why I\u2019m here.\u201d<\/p>\n Some of the volunteers \u201cworking\u201d the \u201cPuppies on the Patio\u201d event admitted they knew this job wouldn\u2019t be too \u201cruff\u201d like SGA volunteer, Faith Houston from Laurel.<\/p>\n \u201cI knew this would be a lot of fun because I have dogs. When I\u2019m studying for hours, my brain locks up and I need something to help me relax before I\u2019m able to get back to the books.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s not just the students who benefit from the puppy loving time at Âé¶¹Ö±²¥. The interaction with students serves a purpose, said independent animal rescuer, Murray Windham.<\/p>\n
<\/a>freshman hopes to be an athletic trainer and said math is not her best subject.\u00a0 While sophomore agriculture communications major, Paige Fairley had a different reason for coming to play with the puppies.<\/p>\n
