The public is invited to the free, 7 p.m. concert featuring works by composers such as Brahms, Barnum, Copland, Rardin, Halloran, and Tallis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018To laugh is to live profoundly,\u2019 said the author Milan Kundera and JC Voices explore some humor through music in this program. From the \u2018Four Whatevers\u2019 to the familiar folk song, \u2018Camptown Races,\u2019 you will smile and maybe even sing along,\u201d said Dr. Susan Smith, Director of JC Voices.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing on Walt Whitman\u2019s incomparable collection, <u>Leaves of Grass<\/u>, the chamber singers will sing, \u201cMy Spirit is Uncaged,\u201d by Paul Rardin.\u00a0 This joyous celebration of life will be followed by more songs of life, songs of love and songs of humor, from the Tallis masterpiece, \u201cIf Ye Love Me,\u201d to the lively, finale\u2019 from the opera, <u>The Gondoliers<\/u>, \u201cDance a Cachucha.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the \u201clove\u201d set, the chamber singers will perform a hauntingly, beautiful, Spanish love song, \u201cAmor de me Alma,\u201d text by a 16<sup>th<\/sup>-century poet, Garcilaso de la Vega, with music by twentieth-century composer, Z.
