SACSCOC STATEMENT FOR ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS

Jones County Junior College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees. Professional Licensure

Professional licensure requirements vary from one profession to another and from state to state. It is the student's responsibility to contact the appropriate licensing board to confirm whether or not the program at 麻豆直播 will meet the state's licensure requirements. 麻豆直播 will make attempts to contact students who reside out of state while enrolled in licensure programs to encourage them to confirm their state's requirements.

Licensure requirements vary across professions and from state to state. Students residing outside of Mississippi who are considering a program that leads to licensure are strongly encouraged to contact the appropriate licensing board in their home state prior to applying to 麻豆直播. 麻豆直播 will attempt to contact students who reside outside of Mississippi while enrolled in licensure programs to notify them of their responsibility to check their state鈥檚 licensure requirements; however, the responsibility of contacting the appropriate licensing board to determine if 麻豆直播鈥檚 program will meet the state鈥檚 licensing requirement belongs to the student.


麻豆直播 is authorized in all states listed as NC-SARA states as an institutional participant. The State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) is an agreement among member states, districts, and U.S. territories that establish comparable nation-wide standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education courses and programs. The reciprocity allows participating Mississippi colleges and universities to offer distance programs and courses to residents of member states without seeking state-by-state approval and is intended to make it easier for students to take online courses offered by postsecondary institutions based in another state. Early Childhood Technology

Early Childhood program, there are three degree options: Career Certificate (two semesters), Technical Certificate (three semesters), and Associate's in Applied Science (four semesters). Students who graduate from this program have the opportunity to work in public pre-k programs, pre-schools, head starts, own a daycare center, or even continue their education at a 4-year university to pursue a career with the MS Department of Health or the Department of Human Services. The curriculum of this program meets the National Association for the Education of Young Children Standards for Early Childhood Professional Preparation, the Mississippi Department of Education Early Learning Standards and Guidelines for Pre-Kindergarten and the Mississippi Early Learning Standards and Guidelines for Infants and Toddlers so students can earn a professional license as well.

The Community College Report Card is designed to reflect the unique missions of the community colleges. The measures that are used align closely with the Voluntary Framework of Accountability developed by the American Association of Community Colleges.

Information on the Community College Report Card includes student enrollment, degrees awarded, student success, student retention, student progress, workforce development information, GED and adult basic education statistics, as well as enrollment and success in development or remedial coursework (college readiness). The report card includes information for Jones County Junior College, along with figures for the system. Most metrics are based upon a specified cohort of students, defined as a group of students who enter or start a program at the same time. Specific cohort definitions and dates are indicated with each metric. Cohort dates will vary, depending on whether the metric reflects entry or outcome data.

Where possible, these Reports Cards use data being reported annually to the State Workforce Investment Board, the U.S. Department of Education, and to Complete College America. Other data comes in part from the Mississippi LifeTracks systems have been independently validated by the National Strategic Planning and Analysis Research Center (nSPARC) at Mississippi State University.
