Graduation Ceremony

All graduation ceremonies will be held in the M.P. Bush Fine Arts Auditorium.

Ceremony Schedule

  • Doors open at 2:15 PM | Ceremony begins at 3:00 PM
  • Doors open at 4:30 PM | Ceremony begins at 5:15 PM
  • Doors open at 6:45 PM | Ceremony begins at 7:30 PM
    • The 7:30 PM ceremony will include the Alumni Choir, Tullos Scholars, Hall of Fame, and Middle College graduates.

Graduate Walking Groups have changed. Everyone must confirm their assigned ceremony time.

Important Information

  • Guests will not be allowed to enter early. Please arrive at your designated door time.
  • Seating is general admission for guests. Graduates will have assigned seating.
  • Each graduate receives four printed tickets (distributed at Thursday practice only).

Graduate Entrance

Graduates must enter through the north entrance of the Fine Arts Auditorium.
If facing the front entrance, use the door on the far left end of the building (not the main lobby).
Look for signage and balloons for guidance.

All ceremonies will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.

After the Ceremony

Families and guests should meet graduates in the C.L. Neill Student Center and Banquet Hall for photos.

Academic Attire

  • Wear dark, neutral dress shoes (men must wear dark socks).
  • Full academic attire required: cap, gown, and hood.
  • Only official Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ cords, tassels, and medals allowed.
  • Academic regalia must not be altered in any way.

Guest Guidelines

  • No air horns, noisemakers, or inflatable items.
  • Leave flowers, balloons, and gifts in vehicles.
  • No backpacks or oversized bags (all bags subject to search).
  • Graduates should not bring personal items—no secure storage is available.
  • Watch Dr. Jesse Smith for ceremony cues (men remove caps for prayer only).

Accommodations

Contact the Registrar’s Office at 601-477-4137 prior to May 8, 2026 for accommodations.

Post-Commencement Information

  • Diplomas: Mailed within 6–8 weeks (ensure address is correct).
  • Transcripts: Submit request form early for priority processing.
  • Photography: Provided by Candid Campus (1-800-233-3686).

Career Fair

12:00–1:00 PM in the M.P. Bush Fine Arts Lobby
Businesses will be on-site with door prizes and career opportunities.

Graduation Practice (Required)

Begins at 1:00 PM in the M.P. Bush Fine Arts Auditorium
Attendance is required for all graduates.
