Purpose Our Certified Phlebotomy Technician program teaches technical and procedural aspects of basic phlebotomy required to become a Phlebotomy Technician. The program includes theory and hands-on instruction. Students will gain skill development through a variety of blood collection methods which includes: butterfly needles, capillary skin puncture, syringes, specimen collection and vacuum collection devices.
Program Description This program is designed for individuals who are interested in starting a career in the medical field to become a phlebotomy technician or want to get a headstart on their other health science pathways. Being a certified Phlebotomy Technician is helpful in any other health science program and automatically makes your application stand out. It is M-F, with Fridays being hybrid and reserved for clinicals.
